Known as one of Beijing's "top ten buildings" in the 1950s, Beijing Railway Station was built and put into use in 1959. Over the years, the Beijing Railway Station has become the top national railway terminal and been playing a very important role as a railway hub.

With the sharp increase of passenger flow in Beijing Railway Station, the station delivers a traffic of 110,000 passengers per day at the peak, while there are only 30 ticket windows. Especially on important holidays, the Beijing Railway Station has to set additional temporary ticket window on the square in front of the station. And the passengers have to wait a long time to buy tickets in a poor environment. In order to meet the needs of passengers to buy tickets quickly, the Beijing Railway Bureau decided to remove the old baggage warehouse at the west side of the station and build a new ticket building to expand the ticket area and increase the number of ticket window. The new ticket building of a total investment of 65.8 million yuan in Beijing Railway Station includes 2 floors on the ground, the first floor is the ticket office, and the second floor is the group ticket office. The new ticketing complex of Beijing Railway Station covers an area of 2800 square meters, with a total construction area of 6216 square meters, the main building height of 17 meters. Our company undertakes the construction task of the weak system of the ticket building. The project includes transmission system, automatic telephone system, ticketing information display system, TV monitoring system, passenger broadcasting system, cable TV system, management information system and integrated wiring system. After the completion, the ticket building of Beijing Railway Station has a total of 78 ticket windows, plus the original 21 windows transformed from package warehouse, a total of 99 ticket windows can be available. The new information system plays an important role for the management and operation of the entire ticket building, and further raises the passenger service level of Beijing Railway Station.
