Electromechanical Equipment Control System
With the development of domestic high speed railway, the electromechanical equipment for the railway starts to introduce the concept of motor control center (MCC). MCC integrates control cabinet of environmental control equipment, and cabinet dual power switch into the low voltage switch gear cabinet for unified planning layout.
---Station MCC integrates the control function of fan and air valve of environmental control system in original low voltage power lighting system. Touch screen is usually configured as man-machine operation interface. Independent of BAS, it can achieve most of the control functions of environmental control equipment. MCC and BAS are connected by the data cable which reduce a plenty of hard-wiring between BAS and the environmental control equipment. Most of environmental control equipments are controlled by the motor. This involves the application of frequency converter and intelligent motor controller. Then the advantages of MCC are reflected: firstly it’s the integration of the equipment control cabinets. Most of the power supply and control equipments at the station have been integrated in the environmental control electric control room. Also trunk has been used by frequency converter and intelligent motor controller to communicate with MCC controller. It decreases the dimension of the equipment cabinet greatly. Then, since intelligent control unit has been adopted, equipment monitoring data will be more detailed which will be very convenient for maintenance personnel to do tracking and statistics of the running state of system equipment. In addition, most of the equipment used to be control by BAS have been transplanted to MCC and left with few equipment like lighting, water supply and drainage, IBP(emergency backup operation board). I/O points are reduced sharply. The load of BAS bus network is also enormously reduced.
